This homemade chili sauce recipe is easy to make at home and adds an amazing flavor to so many dishes!
- 1 6oz can tomato paste
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp honey
- 3 tbsp apple cider vinegar (or to taste (sub white vinegar))
- 1 tsp smoked paprika (regular paprika is ok)
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1/4 tsp ground allspice
- 1/8 tsp ground cloves
- 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1/4 cup water (for thinning, more as needed)
In a large mixing bowl, add all ingredients and whisk together until evenly combined.
Pour your chili sauce into a small pot and simmer over medium low heat for about 15 minutes to reduce and let the flavors combine. Add water as needed to reach desired consistency. More water for a thinner sauce.
Let sauce cool and store covered in the refrigerator.
