This homemade chili sauce recipe is easy to make at home and adds an amazing flavor to so many dishes!

Ingredients

  • 1 6oz can tomato paste
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 3 tbsp apple cider vinegar (or to taste (sub white vinegar))
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika (regular paprika is ok)
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 tsp ground allspice
  • 1/8 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1/4 cup water (for thinning, more as needed)

Instructions 

  • In a large mixing bowl, add all ingredients and whisk together until evenly combined.
  • Pour your chili sauce into a small pot and simmer over medium low heat for about 15 minutes to reduce and let the flavors combine. Add water as needed to reach desired consistency. More water for a thinner sauce.
